As Hannah elaborated more on her hesitance to let David in, Gen couldn't help wincing faintly. She couldn't imagine the sort of betrayal her friend was facing, and knowing that her mother was gone, that she would never be able to confront her mother about it, that must be making it even harder on her. She felt extraordinarily lucky to have the family that she did. "I'm so sorry, Han. I can't imagine what it's like to have to face that sort of thing." And she felt awful for making light of the whole British agent thing now.
"Oh, definitely! My Mum is a bit put out that the final game falls on Mother's Day, so if we make it, I won't be able to go home until after, but she understands." She was a little less understanding that Addi was planning to be here for it, too, but she'd long ago given up hope of keeping her and Addi close by. They were both far too free spirited for that, though their siblings had all managed to stay fairly close to home. "I'll spend at least a week in Provence."
Those were two very viable options, she rather thought. "I haven't seen Domenic in too long! I'll have to remember to stop in at the Hog's Head soon and see how he's doing." Perhaps she spent a little too much in each of the major wizarding pubs to be so familiar with their most active staff, but regardless... "Of course! Though injuries are rather a give-in with Quidditch." Certainly more so than with football when she was a kid. "But that's what we have you for!" Or, others like her, people who dedicated themselves to healing.
