"I wasn't anticipating having anything, but it apparently happens," she said, her voice still a bit edged, a little bit sharp. Not true heat, but edginess. It was no secret she'd not thought she'd have kids. That she hadn't expected this. Hell, she shouldn't have been able to get pregnant for at least two reasons.
Not that he knew it, other than he had to have known she was very strict with her charms when she was younger because gods forbid she get pregnant at Hogwarts. How many people had she had to reassure about that? Mother, of course, and the nurse, and pretty much anyone who stuck their noses in. She never had, back then. Of course, she was pretty sure she'd smacked him awfully hard any time he stuck his nose in a little too much.
She rolled her eyes, the silent comment his smirk deserved. "Of course I fucking did, you idiot. Who else did ye expect me to end up with?" A bit of a smirk of her own. Without turning her back on him -- she trusted him but she was paranoid, she somehow still managed to gracefully enough maneuver back to the living room so she could sit. She pointed at a seat across the way he could take. He could stay at least until Ewan got home. Her wand wasn't holstered, but it wasn't actively pointing at anything either.
