Draco’s brows perked when she made it clear that he was going to tell her all the places he’d been. He wondered if she would find them all interesting, he figured the small farm villages his mother had dragged him through could be left of the list of places they had visited while gone. “Alright, alright.” He chuckled, “I’ll tell you all about my boring adventures in estate sales and antiques.” It really was a bit more exciting than that, but hardly. It wasn’t like he had to do anything cursebreakers did. Most of the places he went into the person had been long dead. Sometimes he would find magical artifacts in muggle homes, families talking about a ghost attached to the object when in reality the magic that had been infused with the object was just going bad. He was always happy to take those off anyone’s hands.
“You could have shown up in just your knickers and I wouldn’t have been one to complain.” Draco shot her a wolfish smile, just a little of the beast that rested somewhere deep within peeking out. “You do look delicious in that dress though. It’ll look better on my floor later. Though, I’m a bit curious about this whole malfunctions before we get home if I don’t have patience. I don’t think I have any tonight…” Okay, so maybe he wasn’t the perfect gentleman. He was certain that gentleman didn’t talk about knickers, wardrobe malfunctions, or anything of the sort, on a date but it was Daphne. There was just something about him that made him completely unable to help himself.
It was then their waitress came to take the drink orders, where Draco ordered them a bottle of champagne to be kept chilled. “My trips really weren’t that interesting, we tended to spend a lot of time in China. I really liked their different styles. I picked up a lot of pieces from there. For as many big cities as we went to, we also went to a few smaller villages. There was this one small village in France that had the most delicious food. I think the biggest surprise for me was how many magical artifacts were in muggle homes, they had no idea what they had on their hands.” He realized then that he was probably boring her and he let out a soft laugh, “I think it all sounds wildly more interesting if you’re looking at the objects I picked…” He bit the corner of his lip a moment in thought, “We could slip by my shop tonight? We haven’t opened yet but I’ve got everything together for the opening. No one else will be around..” It was incredibly more intimate than his room at Blaise’s country house. Though he wasn’t worried so much about privacy, it just sounded like a good idea.
