"You are going to need to tell me where you've been," she announced, her inflection doing its best to imply that this was clearly not up for negotiation. Especially not when he continued to act the part of such an utter gentleman, Daphne throwing him a somewhat curious smile over her shoulder after he'd pulled her chair out for her.
She looked every bit like the cat that got the canary at his comment, her smile widening considerably. "Good. I tried. Which is something you should know to appreciate." The thought that he wouldn't remember hadn't even crossed her mind-- she was, after all, unforgettable. Of course, this also meant that, if Draco felt bad about staring... he should know better. There was nothing quite like attention to make Daphne smile.
"Well, haven't you just become every bit the perfect gentleman!" There was a part of her-- a small part-- that was starting to wonder what she was doing. There was a reason she didn't do this sort of thing, after all, and with Draco there was already so much history. Objectively speaking, this was stupid. And yet... "We do have charms for that sort of thing... so there's no need to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions. At least not unless you wanted there to be some of those. But I suppose that can wait until the end of the evening, depending on if your patience has matured at the same rate as your charm."
