Warnings: Probably language. Maybe more. We'll see!
Callie had originally been coming to see Romi for good reasons. She was going to spend time with her best friend, girl time, catching up with Romi on her relationship, and having a nice normal alcohol fueled night. Instead Callie was standing on Romi’s doorstep in clothes were a few sizes too big. She was wearing a pair of jeans that had holes in the knees, paired with one of Blaise’s old Slytherin sweaters that had a few holes here or there from the wear and tear of being stolen by Callie. Her dark locks were a mess and pulled back from her face in a messy bun that wasn’t at all her style. She was usually so much more put together. She was even wearing her black chunky framed glasses, she hated those things.
The second the door was open to her, Callie hurried inside and looked up at her friend with wide eyes. She didn’t stop to ask if the boyfriend was home, nothing. Instead she threw her arms around Romi, pressing a hurried kiss to the other woman’s lips. “I think I’m in love with you…” Which was probably not at all how anyone, not even a best friend, would like to be told such a thing. She had been thinking it over for days now, weeks almost. Since Kermit had just left Blaise.
When Blaise had told her that Kermit had left because he had been a bad boyfriend, and then there were questions over love? Well… Callie started looking a little too closely at her own relationship. She had been staying with Ginny more recently, trying to figure it out. It had hit her at some point that morning, while on her morning run. Her feelings for Ginny weren’t that intense, not anything near love. Her feelings for Romi however were a lot stronger, she knew she loved Romi of course. She had loved Romi for years, she was her best friend. Was it that in love feeling? Was that what being in love felt like? She had heard other’s call their significant other their best friend. Maybe she had been missing the point the entire time? It was that thought process that had her in the position she was in currently. Her arms around her best friend’s neck, face far too close after having just stolen a kiss.
