Well, that had been the best fun that Tim had had in quite a long time. He’d played chase in the rain, and what was more, he’d got to roll about in mud, and that was something that Ella had never really liked him to do it only because then he’d only track it into her home and get distracted before he could clear it up, but that didn’t matter right now because he was at the sanctuary, and he wasn’t touching the ground any more for it to be a problem.
But Terry had mud on his face. The pug’s tongue darted out to do away with some of that, but he decided almost immediately that it didn’t taste great and decided against going in for another lick.
The main problem with the rain, now that he wasn’t running about like a mad thing, was that it was very cold. Being only little and very much soaked through the fur to the skin, he began shivering and burrowed close in an effort to warm up.
