RP: T-Minus 10 Weeks...
Who: Cho & Fin
When: 2/23/17; evening
Where: The Quigley Home
What: Cho is driving herself a little bit batty...
Warnings: TBD
Cho had been out of the office - and the parties - for a little over two weeks now. She was due in just about 10 weeks, and staring down that long without the parties and the go, go, go of the company to keep her busy, she'd started going a little batty. She had a lot of nervous energy but physically couldn't keep up with her brain. She'd tried pregnant yoga, gone to her mother for advice who suggested she catch up on her reading list, and met with Ali to see if this was all normal (it was mostly an informal meeting, but still, Ali was a Healer who'd had two kids of her own, so... Cho counted it as a real meeting even if it wasn't with Healer Montgomery).
Alicia had mentioned that Cho should start thinking about what kind of birth she wanted to have, which had lead to tonight, and Cho pouring through her datapad for information on muggle and magic options during the actual birth. At no point had the potential pain of birth worried her - until today. Suddenly she was acutely aware of all the horror stories available on the wizarding network and the myriad of options that she somehow had to decide from.
FIn's practice schedule had started back to full time now that Quidditch was getting ready to start again, and so as the sky darkened and she knew he was going to be home soon, she put on some easy pasta and cream sauce, hoping it would stem her craving for something gooey and he wouldn't mind it for dinner. As she stirred, she read. When she spelled the pasta to strain over the sink, she made notes. As she warmed the plates with her wand in anticipation of the food, she highlighted her notes. And then she read some more. Goodness, there was so much information, so many little details about the birth itself that maybe she should have learned about earlier... She chewed on a cuticle as she read a particularly worrisome passage about one witch's experience with a "natural" birth.
