Alec was mostly right in his train of thinking. The moment she opened her eyes, the moment he affirmed her suspicions that this was their home, she almost had to tell him no, that this was too much. She had barely given him anything in comparison to what he had just presented her with, and guilt nearly instantly started to weigh down on her. That was, until he started talking, and she had to bite her tongue as he tried to explain himself. Nora was vehemently against ruining this for the two of them, just like she had been terrified about to begin with at the start of this day...
He was going to continue living with Katie, but he wanted a place for them too. Their own. Their home... Just Alec and Nora. She looked down as he kissed her hand, her heart hammering in her ears and her throat as she tried to convince her he was being selfish. That's not what she thought at all.. he was being perfect. Amazing. Everything she had come to expect of him...
She finally managed words though. "I just.. I feel like what I've given you... doesn't come close. But how could you ever think I would want to live anywhere else?" she asked, raising a brow in his direction. "This place... is beautiful. You're... fucking perfect. I still sometimes wonder if this is all a dream, teasing me about what perfection is like. But then I wake up every morning and you're still there.." She took a deep breath, finally smiling at him. "I love you so much... Yes, I'll live with you. Yes, I want this to be ours. I still can't believe you've gone and done it but I wouldn't trade it for a second."
