Dora had spent part of the day in the workshop, finishing up a few of the things for the shop. Her most energetic times were always in the middle of the night and the middle of the afternoon. Any more, especially, the rest of the time she was just so bloody exhausted. Not even going for a run helped, and coffee was only a stop gap that made her stomach churn even worse.
After she'd done a bit, though, she'd gone for what she'd only call a jog and then come back to clean. not that the place really needed it since her issues with sleeping through the night often meant she was very quietly up and about and doing these things to feel producitve, when she wasn't in the workshop. Things had gotten a bit better in the sleeping department since she'd moved in with Ewan, the nightmares a little less, but they were still there. She dealt with them quietly and some nights she'd lay in bed and manage to doze back off in his arms and some nights she'd very quietly slip out and find something to do. As a consequence, the place was usually pretty clean.
But nevertheless int he hour or so before Persy was due to arrive for dinner -- which already smelled fabulous, Dora almost manically bounced around the flatting, cleaning things again and making sure it looked all right. Mostly it was just to channel the miasma of anxiety that churned inside of her. She swore she'd already gone pee several times and she felt like she was going to be sick. What ifs clicked through her head and she did her best to pretend she was normal and ignore them.
She was a hot mess and she knew it, no matter how well put together she'd made sure her appearance was. She'd even put on a small glamour that hid the circles under her eyes, carefully crafted as any make up a muggle might wear. "You're sure she's coming now?" she said, trying so hard not to seem nervous that it gave away her nervousness as she came up behind him, sniffing appreciatively.
