David nodded, understanding. "Fair enough. So long as you know... I'm no threat to her, at all. All I've ever done was want to protect her." He'd failed miserably though. David was on a mission and hadn't heard Fiona had been killed until some weeks after it had happened. He'd failed them both in thinking they would be safe in the magical world. However, how could David have known that his wife had been such a target for Dark Wizards?
"No, the memory is insurance. I would tell her myself, as I should have done long ago." It was all very delicate, the way it had to be done. "If you choose, you don't have to be present. No use having her lash out at the both of us... and if she's anything like her mother, I don't wish that upon you. Not when you've helped me so much."
"You, and the memory I'm going to give you, only if she doesn't believe me. She trusts you. If I can't convince her, I know you may be able to make some progress at least." David knew full well that Seamus could just up and tell him to bugger off and he'd be wise to do so. However, David hoped he wouldn't.
