Blaise,
I have a request to make of you.
I am currently working on a venture with Miss Luna Lovegood that I am hoping to have quite widely publicized-- and in a positive light, at that. The issue at hand regards the education of young wizards and witches and the potential of their receiving at least some semblance of consistency within their wizarding education prior to Hogwarts. Muggle-born students, after all, have no exposure of magic, and are therefore at a distinct disadvantage. Meanwhile, the amount of education wizarding students receive can vary wildly from family to family. Some are wealthy enough for tutors while others simply forego any attempts at instructing their children at home, sometimes because both parents have to work.
Moreover, by exposing these children not only to magic, but to other children in their age group, their future classmates at Hogwarts, without the prejudices lingering behind house alliances, friendships and bonds would be formed across house-lines for a truly intersectional educational experience.
I am sure you can see where I am going with this.
The potential of such a program is virtually limitless, and I am working alongside the Minister on acquiring substantial Ministry funding to back the project. I am coming to you directly with regard to this venture as I would like for you to aid the Ministry in publicizing the program. Most everyone reads the Prophet, and I trust that you would be able to handle such a task with the grace and elegance as any proud owner and head editor of such a widespread news source would possess. The general idea floating around the Ministry has been a cover story, though the Minister and I are willing to work with the Prophet on that.
Needless to say, should you agree, you would be handsomely compensated for your work.
I do look forward to reading your response.
Kindest regards,
Hermione Granger Deputy Head Department of Magical Law Enforcement Ministry of Magic
