Re: Kevin and Teddy
Teddy abandoned Harry at precisely quarter to midnight. He loved Harry dearly and had been happy to accompany him throughout the wedding, had been happier still to dance with him and make him generally embarrassed so that he'd not be fearful of what people may think about him and the stunning bride, but his first kiss of the new year, well... that was his and his alone and he didn't want to give that to Harry, not by any stretch. His friend was pretty, of course, but he was just that - Teddy's friend. So, he made his excuses and gave Harry a slight smile, telling him to find someone good to kiss at midnight. And then he'd gone off on the hunt. He'd tried at the table where the food was first, and then he'd tried the drinks table. He knew he was here. Knew he was standing about somewhere because he'd seen him earlier.
Five minutes to midnight and Teddy was starting to panic a little bit. Where was Kevin? Fireworks had been called out onto the grass outside, and so, dejected, he made his way there and stood at the side, beginning to think that actually, he wouldn't get his kiss at midnight after all and that, well, that had never happened to him before. And then, as though he'd known Teddy had been searching for him, he appeared, asking him where his date was, and he was so happy to see him that he didn't bother replying to that and instead drew him into an immediate kiss, beaming from freckled ear to freckled ear.
"I was looking everywhere for you," he said, smiling happily when he drew away. "I was scared I'd miss it. Miss you."
