Romilda could feel herself blush as his gaze raked over her. She felt so... exposed to him, for some reason, but she knew better. She knew she would know it right quick if he really saw into her, if he knew her truths. Of course, he'd never speak to her again, which would make it pretty obvious.
At his compliment, she blushed more deeply, wishing they were anywhere but here. If he had said that to her at his flat, or at hers even, she would have tackled him then and there, all it took.
Instead, she leaned over and said, "Thank you," quietly, the sincerity obvious in her voice. "I may have hoped to see you here," she said, less quietly, slightly more sarcastically.
