Adrian finished his dinner and pushed it aside. He wasn't completely full but he felt much better for the food and he could always sneak down to the kitchens later when the staff had gone, see what he could find.
"Why would they turn over a new leaf? We're basically moving targets. If he hex or hit any of them back then we're in Azkaban," he said. "They can pick and choose who they want to hurt at random and without any consequences whatsoever. It's hardly as if a Pureblood is going to complain."
Adrian smiled slightly, getting up from his seat and moving over to his lover. "I'm not working for you or your family," he told him. "I could try getting a job in Diagon Alley but not many people will take a Pureblood on over a Muggleborn, especially not one with links to the Dark Lord and no particular talent."
