The flickers at the corners of her eyes hardly bothered her. Isabel walked confidently down the hallway ignoring the staff as they went about their business, after all, they were best unseen unless she specifically needed anything. At the moment, she needed all of her reserve to walk confidently through this hotel without ghouls or spiriti to act as escorts.
"Those days are gone forever," she said softly to herself while taking a deep breath. That unfamiliar act made her pause at the entrance to the hotel's bar. Covering her consternation, Isabel pretended to brush dust off of her dress before entering the room.
"Pardon me," Isabel spoke to the fair-haired man sitting at the bar, "Is this seat taken?"
