“Your parents are divorced too, huh?” She asked. She didn’t sound too upset by the implication, because her own parents being divorced didn’t necessarily upset her. Instead, Katie just smiled and tapped a couple of keys on the piano. “I wish my dad still had most of his old records, but he sold them when he upgraded to CD’s. It’s such a shame.”
When he started up his Elton John impersonation, Katie grinned and joined in, “Count the headlights on the highway.” Oh, how she loved that song.
She adjusted on the bench so she could look at him a bit better when he described what he’d been working on. “You should bring it up at practice to Ms Coase or something. Even if we don’t use it, it could be fun to practice with everyone.” Katie did love trying new things—and a medley by The Who sounded pretty sweet.
