The fact that he was so bashful made Katie feel a bit better. She visibly relaxed and her face going back to its normal shade. “Thanks,” she replied, taking his compliment. A smirk fell on her face and she swung her feet a little beneath the piano bench. “Their loss. 80’s music is great. Kind of cheesy sometimes, but that’s part of the fun.”
Katie noticed his face getting very red, and while she had seen it, she felt no need to draw attention to it. It was kind of cute, after all. To his question, she just went all in: “A couple things! You know that Elton John song ‘Tiny Dancer?’ I’ve been trying to perfect that one. Then of course the Aerosmith tune and that song ‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None the Richer.” She brushed her hand over her face, a little embarrassed by her sudden burst of enthusiasm.
“I guess I should focus on just one thing at a time, but… I’m not so good at that. What about you—what are you working on?”
