This whole situation had Tonks' head reeling. It wasn't that she didn't understand. She understood just fine. She understood that some wonky thing happened and she was suddenly not where she was supposed to be. She just wasn't sure just how the wonky thing happened or what exactly it was. This would probably lead people to believe that she didn't actually understand at all, but she did. She got it. Wonky thing and stuck somewhere weird. That was really all she needed to know.
Instead of fighting the lady with the bun and the too-neat clothes, she simply left the strange room and went to the flat she'd been directed to. At least they'd given her somewhere to live for the time being until she got home. That was nice of them. Though, upon arriving on her floor, she realized that the door she was supposed to enter was already open.
Tonks frowned deeply, suddenly very wary of what was going on. Trusting the bun lady seemed like a really bad idea now. This could be a trap! She let her wand fall into her hand as she prepared for what could happen. Damn Death Eaters and their elaborate tricks. If this was Bellatrix Lestrange's doing she'd show her a thing or two!
She hid herself around the corner and peered in. Strangely enough, all she saw was a young boy and his dog. Her frown deepened as she came out of her hiding spot, standing in the doorway, her wand still in hand.
