Teddy racked his brain as he dumped the crumbs into the bin. "Well..." He put the broom away. His hair faded back to it's natural brown. "I-- I stay with her a lot," he said finally. That wasn't a lie. Teddy was a terrible liar, truly, so his tactic was to stick as close to the truth as possible without actually telling the full truth.
He needed a diversion. "So, we should probably see if we can cook up something for supper." He washed his hands, taking a sniff of the water. It didn't smell quite as clean as the water at home.
