"Maybe," Teddy agreed. He could imagine a time-turner going wonky and dragging people from different times into an inter-dimensional near-earth place. It sounded like an interesting novel to read, but Teddy was almost wondering if he wanted to live that novel. He also wondered if he would be a major or side-character in that novel. He made a note to look into that later.
"Is it?" That wasn't good news. It should have been, because that meant his mum was probably with his dad, but it was also a reminder that if he was born soon in her time then she'd be dead soon in her time. "I wonder how we got here, though-- I mean us specifically. Why?"
Teddy shoved another biscuit in his mouth. He handed one down to Little Bear, who took it gratefully and chomped it apart, scattering biscuit crumbs all over the floor. Just like home. Except at home grams would be tsking at Little Bear and Teddy would be grabbing a broom to sweep with. He made another note to look for a broom, later.
