Who: Brenna and Abbi Where: Avarice II When: Tuesday Night
Normally, Abbi McConnell wasn't exactly a party animal. Nor was she much of one to wear anything scandalous. NOR was she much into hard rock or metal. So why was she on the dance floor at Avarice II, shakin' it like a Polaroid picture to the beat of 'Shoots & Ladders' by KoRn, in what amounted to a VERY short schoolgirl skirt, with thigh-high white stockings, calf-high black boots, and a snug white sleeveless button-down blouse? Because for the first time in a long time, she was legitimately HAPPY. Not just putting on a happy face, but FEELING happy. She was starting a new life for herself, living (along with Courtney and Lynn) with her Aunt Addison, she'd met a VERY nice boy earlier that day at the mall, and just.... she felt like a NORMAL girl for once. Not the future-daughter of a blossoming rock star and his hilariously foul-mouthed wife.
It wasn't that Avarice II had become her favorite hangout since she moved to the City of Sin with her folks, but it was a good place to hangout when Brenna was on her own for the night. The teen could enjoy herself without the threat of being harassed by undesirables. Being the daughter, or daughter of the boyfriend of the owner of the hotel as what was most people were being led to believe, did have it's perks. Anyone seeming to or actually causing trouble for the teen was promptly dealt with. But those instances didn't come up all that frequently.
Brenna entered the club in a floral print top, a pair of black jeans and black cowboy boots. The teen glanced casually around the place as she headed toward the bar with half a hope of running into the elusive Draven Leroux.
Oh! Yes! Someone else Abbi actually knew! This night was getting better all the time! The blonde waved cheerily at Brenna, smile bright, and waved her over. It was amazing that these two could get along as well as they did, what with how moody both could occasionally get... but somehow? They just tended to understand each other.
Now that was just about the last person she expected to be seeing at Avarice II, but when Brenna caught movement from her peripheral vision and saw Abbi motion her over when she glanced the girl's way, Brenna didn't hesitate in working her way through the crowded dance floor toward her.
"Fancy running into you here." The blond smiled to the other girl when she reached her side.
"Bren! How've things been, girl? I love what your mom's done with this place. It's REALLY cool." Abbi laughed and rolled her eyes, always honest. "Still don't totally care for the music, but the decor and the scene? Awesome. You look great, by the way."
"Hey yourself." Brenna smiled a bit brighter tugging Abbi into a brief hug. "Well, she wanted it to equal or surpass the original, which I think she accomplished." Brenna shared with her friend. "You should check the place out on a weekend night, they have a better then decent band playing then. Better then the music they pipe in during the week."
"That's kinda cool. And..." Ok, so... while Brenna was hardly as stoic and rough around the edges as Bronte, she also wasn't exactly a font of emotion usually. So... "What's with the grin? You look like someone who just... OH GOD. You... you didn't do 'it', did you?"
"Do what?" The blond completely baffled by what the other girl was attempting to get at. So she had smiled a bit more when she reached Abbi, Brenna didn't know all that many in the city, and spotting a friend, well Brenna wasn't going to give the girl a death glare.
"You know..." She blushed a little. "Did you... meet someone special? Because you're all glowy. And I was thinking you and I were two of the last remaining virgins in the country." Abbi said with a laugh, able to find the humor in it, but still proud nonetheless.
"You mean you've never?" Brenna questioned the girl after Abbi's comment was made all to clear to her. Brenna hadn't been in this universe long enough to have met anyone she might be wanting to hit the sheets with, that of course was a completely different story back in her time and place in the future.
"No! Never!" Abbi laughed, feeling JUST a little goofy now. "All this time I always thought you were! I never really saw you with anyone, so.... yeah... ok, I feel like a total doof now. SO ANYWAY! What's got you all smiley? Like I said... you're usually in a good mood, but... never quite this glowy."
"I am not all glowy." Brenna informed the girl. "Just happy to see a friend who has saved me from having to endure a night alone in this place." The blond added with a small smile to Abbi.
"Well, believe me... I'm VERY happy to see you. I've been dying to find you and Josie... Lynn's about the only one of my close friends I've had around. Kim's cool and all, but all she does is stick up for Killer, and HER, well... that little nutcase creeps me out." Awr. Was Abbi whining? Luckily for her... it was fairly adorable.
