Bonding
Who: Alexius and Emilie
Where: The Wild Coyote
When: Friday, July 2nd
Emilie loved working at the bar when hunting season was quiet; she didn't have quite as many bruises which meant that could wear far more revealing clothes without raising any questions. Tonight she was wearing a black, practically see-through dress (as honestly, the fabric wasn't all that thick) that barely went down to her thighs with a chunky ruby red belt hanging loosely around her midsection and matching lipstick, with heavy mascara and tousled just-got-out-of bed hair. She was rocking the sexy look tonight, which was funny given how bright and cheerful her personality is. She practically beamed as she set down a beer on the bar for one of her regulars (in man nearing his 60's, she thought) and gave him a playful little wink before hopping off to the next customer, shouting: "Alexius! We need some music in here! Stat!"
"I'm kind of busy at the moment!" Alexius called back loudly, balancing a rounded tray ladened with filled beer glasses as she weaved her way through the crowd of patrons toward the other side of the bar. Unlike her fashion sensible younger sister, Alexius tended to wear things that suited her mood. And tonight? Well, the blond was feeling kind of blah so she was simply dressed in a black tee with the bar's logo on it and a pair of black, slightly faded, jeans. "You'll either have to entertain the troops yourself or fill the jukebox with quarters!"
"My sister, ladies and gentlemen! Has a little trouble multitasking! Do I have any requests?" Emilie shouted, to which she got more than a few excited suggestions. She, of course, already had a few songs in mind. It was just fun to ask. She grinned and made several more drinks swiftly before plugging the jukebox in (as during the week, it wasn't plugged in, save for special requests… or if they were bored) and keyed in a few songs, the first being 'Coconut' by Harry Nilsson. She brought her hands up to her head and swayed her hips to the music as she walked and once Alexius' hands were free, she hooked a hand around her sister's waist and twirled her, singing, "Put the lime in the coconut, drink them both up…" My, someone was in a good mood, wasn't she?
Alexius started passing out the order of beers once she reached her intended table of young men. "You'll have to forgive me sister she over indulged in her medication today," giving each man a wink before glancing over her shoulder in Emilie's direction. "And doesn't have anywhere near good taste in music!" Her voice rising purposely so her younger sister would hear her over the din of the crowd.
Alex was headed back toward the bar with the tray tucked nicely under her arm when she suddenly found herself caught by her sister and pulled into a few short steps of a dance. And even though her mood was blah Alexius couldn't help but let a lop-sided smile break through.
"She's not wrong about the terrible taste in music," she said to the group of young men, whom all had hilarious expressions of awe at these two contrasting women in front of them. She placed a sweet kiss to her sisters cheek before letting her go, knowing that she wasn't in the best of moods, just as the song ticked over to 'Don't Stop Believing' by Journey. She beamed and funnily enough, headbanged briefly to it, "I figured I'd get the 'classics' out of the way tonight," she explained.
Odd how a certain song could instantly change a persons demeanor, kind of like switching a light off and then right back on the next second. Well, it wasn't exactly an oddity where Alex was concerned. As soon as the song started the blond grinned lop-sidedly and quickened her step toward the bar. Tossing the tray on the bar top, Alexius was soon climbing her way on top of the bar and dancing to the rhythm of the music playing. A short moment later the older Moreau crooked a finger toward her sister in invitation for Emilie to join her.
"And I'm the one who overindulged?" Emilie muttered to herself, although she couldn't help it but grin. She'd rather see Alexius spazzy then 'blah'. Although… "Alex! Dress! And not a very long one!" Ah, practical, wasn't she? Well, she would be, if she wasn't just pointing out the obvious here. She somehow managed to hop onto the bar without unintentionally flashing anyone (yeah, going commando in a short dress? Not a wise decision), and took her sister's hand, dancing with her. "Anyone who likes Journey gets a free tequila shot, right now!" Oooh, how she could be impulsive at times. Fortunately the cost of a bottle (or two) wasn't a huge loss.
"So you show a little leg, no-one’s really gonna take notice." Alexius pointed out her odd little logic to her sister while assisting the younger hunter up onto the bar.
"Oh! I do!" Alex squealed with a hand shooting up in a flash at her Emilie's offer. And down from the bar she climbed to get herself a shot leaving Emilie to dance the rest of the song by herself.
Emilie literally face-palmed then. Only her sister, hm? She caught one of the guys trying to look up her dress as she danced along the bar and gave him an 'Are you serious look?' Which, for someone so adorable? Was also kind of scary. "One of these days I'm not going to get suckered in so easily! And oi! Pour me one while you're at it!" Yes, she liked to use British vernacular sometimes – what of it?
"You don't like Journey." Alex reminded her sister after downing a shot of tequila. And as a couple patrons wandered up to the bar claiming they liked Journey, Alexius questioned them on their favorite, and least favorite, Journey song before pouring and delivering them a shot of tequila.
"I picked the song!" Emilie practically shrieked before finally hopping off of the bar top (since while she liked to be on top? This was ridiculous). She took a shot of tequila from Alexius before she could protest and downed it in one go, before refilling some of the regulars drinks again and then moving off to collect the empty glasses and bottles from around the room.
"You didn't say the chooser of the song gets a shot, you said whoever likes the band gets a free shot." Alexius told her with a smirk and no attempt made to try and stop her sister from claiming a drink of tequila. In a bit of a better mood Alexius rounded out from behind the bar to go work some of the tables. Keeping the patrons happy and the liquor flowing was the major point there at The Wild Coyote.
"Bah!" was Emilie's very astute response. Yes, it seemed they were both odd today, didn't it? Alexius' moods were always hard to determine, always hard to judge what would set her off. Emilie was a simpler girl, however. How she woke up in the morning generally provided her with an outlook for the day. After a few minutes of collecting bottles and glasses, Emilie set them down on the bar and started a conversation with her 60 year old regular, completely ignoring the table of young men clamouring for her attention (she was going to have to cut them off soon, clearly). He was a widower and seemed to be there for the company, which she provided when she could. That and he seemed like a nice enough old man, if even a little ill placed at the moment.
