Hearing Your Heart Break
Who: Pat and Patience
Where: Their Apartment
When: Saturday Night, Jan. 29th
Pat had spent the majority of the day back in LA, trying to get things in order, so that he could officially move to Vegas. Really, all that mattered to him was the welfare of his son and being with Patience. Everything else could fade away, as far as he cared. A bit tired after his long, hectic day, he plodded to the door of the suite he was currently renting for himself and Patience, stretching a bit as he unlocked the door.
Patience had to get a hold of a CD from Gwen, but she was actually listening to a song that Pat had written way back when for his original band, World Ablaze, that apparently had been written for her when she disappeared. It just kind of broke her heart a little to hear it. She gave him a smile when he walked inside. "Hey," she said, sounding a little more subdued than usual.
"Hey..." He said, his voice lowering a little as he realized what she was listening to. It was both a bittersweet moment... and one that made all the bad memories flood back again. "....you ok, babe?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," she said, reaching up and hugging him. "Gwen gave me some bootlegs from your old band and I was listening to them. Everything I had kind of went away when I poofed," she told him.
"Singing that was like... my therapy, in a way. It helped me through pretty much every single day until the... 'other' you was brought back." He admitted, holding her tightly, now seemingly unwilling to EVER let her go.
She really didn't want to be let go right now, so, honestly, it was fine with her. "Well, I'm glad you had something to get you through it," she told him. "Honestly, I'm glad you had someone, too. I'm really freakin' glad that I found you when I did. You looked like you were three days from throwing yourself in front of a bus."
"More like one or two, if we're being honest." He sighed, his strong hands just clutching her like he was afraid she'd vanish if he let her go. "I just... I tried, baby. I tried to live without you. I can't do it. You're like air to me."
She wasn't planning on disappearing any time soon, luckily. "Well, not going anywhere anymore if I can help it. No more poofing, no more other mes running around and messing you up. I think we're good now."
"God, I hope so." Seriously. Or else his mun honestly might throw himself in front of a TRUCK. "We're gonna work on getting you situated. We'll get you your GED, then we'll get wait until you're ready to be what you're meant to be: my wife. Then? We'll start our lives together again."
"Are you shitting me? I'm ready for that YESTERDAY," she pointed out to him. She got it, though. Now that they were together, what the hell was the rush, you know? "Who knows? Maybe I'll freak everyone out and take me some college classes." She really had no idea what she wanted to do with herself past being Pat's wife. Hell, she had to do SOMETHING to pass the time, right?
"I just want to be able to look out when I'm playing, and see you watching me again. See those eyes staring at me like I'm the only person in the world that exists." He said, not even trying to be poetic or dramatic. "I missed it so, so badly..."
"Well, the next show that you guys got, I'll be there with bells on," she said, then smirked. "Afterwards, I'll wear only the bells for you."
"God, that's hot." He laughed, rolling his eyes as he said it. "You could wear a trash bag and I'd find it hot." Hey, at least he could admit it, right?
She laughed. "You would like that, wouldn't you, you perv?" she asked. "Well, at least you're my perv, right?"
"Maybe I would..." He said, in a mock-offended tone. "Wow... for someone who claims to have MISSED me, you're awful mouthy..." Oh, now OBVIOUSLY he was teasing, as he KNEW what she was like generally...
She snorted, slapping him on the arm. "You know you love me and my mouthy ways," she pointed out to him with a smirk. "Speaking of mouthy...how about I get all mouthy with you in a different way?"
Pat just... gawked at her for a moment, before laughing and grinning broadly. "Like... like I could EVER deny that. EVER."
She laughed. "Of course not. Now come to the bedroom and strip down so that I can give my man some good lovin.'" With that, she turned and headed to the bedroom, tossing her shirt at his head while she was going.
