Roommates Suck Ass
Who: Bella, Chris, and later Lacey
Where: Avarice II, then Chris and Lacey's Place
When: Wednesday Night, Jan. 26th
Feeling great that she had the night off from training and patrolling, Bella called up Chris and, after figuring out that he had the night free, got him to meet her at Avarice II for a night of fun. Wearing a flesh toned dress that left very little to the imagination, she was obviously in the mood for a little something something, eh?
"Holy hot DAMN." Chris burst out with a hearty laugh when he saw her, eyes going wide. In form-fitting cargo jeans, a tight gray t-shirt, and a silver ball necklace... well, for him? This was dressing up a bit. Fuck off, he had no fashion sense, ok? "Seriously, Bells. One day? I'll show up for something like this and NOT be stunned into submission by how amazing you look."
"Then I will not have done my job correctly," she teased him, patting the seat at the bar next to her. She happened to like sitting at the bar, OK? It let her survey the place a lot better and keep an eye out for the people that she was waiting for to come inside. "You look pretty hot yourself," she said, leaning over and kissing him on the cheek when he got closer.
As he curled in next to her, he couldn't help but wrap an arm around her waist protectively, kissing the side of her neck. "You look like YOU'RE in a good mood.... I miss something?"
She leaned into him when he wrapped an arm around her. "Maybe I'm just in a good mood to be in a good mood," she teased him. "It's definitely possible, after all." She was just having a good day.
"You waitin' for someone? You look like your mind is elsewhere." Ok, so maybe he had paranoid moments. With his past? Trust me. TOTALLY understandable.
She shook her head. "No, just you," she told him. "You worried that I would be waiting for someone else?" she asked, sounding a little concerned.
"No... just... hell with it. Forget it... I just get weird sometimes. How can I not worry about someone coming in and stealin' a girl like you away from me?" Oooooo... turn it into something smooth! Points for Chris...
She looked at him for a second, but decided to let it go, at least for right now. She could always ask about it again later, after all. "Well, you don't have to worry about anyone stealing me. I'd have to be willing to be stolen, after all."
"So, you feel like hangin' at my place tonight? No offense to this place, but I'm more in the mood for quiet tonight." He actually wasn't trying to initiate The Sex (at least not yet! Hush!), he really DID just want to get to someplace more private and intimate.
She nodded. "Sure. I think that's a great idea, actually." She'd love to go by his place and see where he lived. Plus, whoever the DJ was tonight seemed to be on a 80's hair metal kick, which just wasn't quite Bella's style.
"You ever ridden a motorcycle before?" He asked, that ruggedly boyish grin firmly in place.
"Not to my knowledge." Should they broach the whole 'I have no memory of my life' subject kind of soon? Maybe. "Willing to give it a go, though."
"Good... then take this..." He handed her the helmet he'd worn coming in. "And follow me. You're gonna LOVE this, trust me."
She grinned at him as she took the helmet from him, standing up from her seat. "Well, if I'd known this, I'd have at least worn pants," she said playfully.
"Pssh. Pants. Pants are overrated." Oh god, Chris... "Just come on." And of course, he took the longest route he could find... any excuse to have her clutching onto him for as long as possible. When they finally got to the small duplex he and his roommate rented, he parked the bike and helped her off of it. "Alright... hopefully my roomie's not here. If so, we'll try to rectify that." Sigh. He never really talked about his roommate before, hm? Well. This was gonna be fun.
She pulled the helmet off her head and shook her hair out, preventing the dreaded helmet hair that so many women hated. "Who is your roommate, anyway?" She didn't exactly know, after all. Might as well find out since she was here now, right?
"Oh. Heh. Yeah." He said as he opened the front door. "Funny story there... I kinda live with my drummer... who's also my ex-girlfriend."
Bella arched an eyebrow at him. That was something that she had NOT known, after all. "Well, that's...interesting..." she said as she looked inside.
Inside there was a redhead who was rocking out to Lynyrd Skynyrd, radio blasting and...apparently practicing her next routine for the strip club that she worked as, since she was wearing only a pair of boy cut shorts at the time. She looked up at Chris and Bella with a smirk when she noticed them. "Didn't think you'd be back so soon," she said. "This the newbie you're talking about so much?" she asked, walking up and sticking out her hand. "I'm Lacey."
"Bella," she said simply, plastering a smile on her face and doing her best to NOT stare at the girl's still very naked chest.
"Jesus CHRIST, Lacey..." Chris blushed, looking away. "Um... clothes?" Oh. What a great way to make a first impression.
Lacey looked down at her chest, acting as if she just noticed that she was pretty much naked. "Well, MERCY ME!" she squealed in a faux southern voice. She bent over and grabbed a silk robe that she had, putting it on but not tying it. "I'mma let you two love bird....get to it, as they say," she said, bumping Bella on the hip. "Let me change and I'll be outa here." With that, she headed to her bedroom.
"Wow...," Bella said when Lacey left the room to presumably put on enough clothing to go out in public. "Your roommate is...interesting." Yup, let's go with interesting.
"Lacey is... hm. A free spirit. Yeah. We'll go with that." He smirked, as somehow, there was more of a sibling vibe between he and Lacey now, regardless of what might have happened in the past.
"Nice way to put it," Bella said with a slight laugh. Well, if the ex was in his band, she was going to have to meet the woman at some point, wasn't she? Just...this was the most awkward way possible.
Lacey came out a few moments later in a white tank, leather jacket, and jeans. "Catch you two love birds on the flip side," she said. "And don't forget to wrap your tool!" she managed to shout before slamming the door behind her.
"Yeah. Did I say free spirit?" Chris mumbled, "Probably should have also mentioned 'asshole'." Ya think? "Still... she's a good friend. Hell of a drummer, too."
"OK, gotta agree with the asshole part," Bella admitted with another laugh. "No offense to your taste in friends. My step-dad is an asshole ninety percent of the time, you know." She grinned. "So, we do have a home to ourselves now, though."
"We do." He said, laughing. "Want to take advantage of it for a bit? Before we have to worry about anyone interrupting us?"
Bella gave him a smile. "I think we can manage that," she said to him with a slight laugh.
