Someone Get The Hose
Who: Willie and Jono
Where: Steak Joint in Vegas
When: December 23rd, Evening
Since she was spending the holidays with her cousin, Willie decided to ask Jono out for a dinner date the night before so that they would have a chance to see each other. They were still in the beginning states of dating, so she wanted to figure out just what he was doing for the holidays without...you know, flat out asking what he was doing for the holidays. Willie could swear that she knew what to do in relationships. Because of her last one, she seemed to have become the queen of flail with Jono at times. Still, if nothing else, tonight should be fun. She got to the restaurant a little early and picked out a table for them to sit at when he got there.
"Bloody hell, girl... This place is expensive... You sure we can afford this?" The singer asked with a low whistle, dressed in a charmingly rumpled gray suit.
She gave him a grin. "Christmas tips rock for me," she said to him simply, pulling him inside of the place. "Now stop worrying and pick out something to eat." Well...wasn't she just...charming?
"Alright but the next time its on me." He said without a hint of irony, "even if I have to rob a bank before dinner."
"Next time I promise to let you get it," she said with a roll of her eyes. "Gotta be such a man about it, don cha?" She was teasing, of course. Once they were sat, she opened up the menu. "I just want something rare and delicious right now." And she smirked when she realized how badly that statement could have been misconstrued.
"You know, were I less of a gentleman I'd make some perverse comments right now..." He snickered, trying not to be loud about it.
That only made her laugh. "Sorry...sometimes I get foot in mouth disease, apparently," she said with a shake of her head. At least she was cool about it, though. "So, what were you thinking, food wise, anyway?" she asked as she continued to look over the menu. "And if you say 'meat' I swear I'll smack ya one."
"I was thinkin' t-bone, medium-well, with a baked potato and side salad." He said with a grin, "maybe some wine, so I can get you good and drunk and have my way with you."
She snorted. "Like you'd really need that much wine," she said playfully. OK, so they hadn't had the chance to do MUCH, and she was a little riled, OK? Give a girl a break.
"VERY good to know..." Jono mumbled with a raised eyebrow as he smirked, some mischief in his eyes. He wasn't sure why the gorgeous blonde was so into him... He was just glad she WAS.
"All you had to do was ask," she pointed out to him. Really, even if you weren't an empath of some sort, she was impossibly easy to read most of the time. She just...really liked him. It was truly as simple as that. "Hmm...I think that t-bone sounds good as well, but I'm more into medium rare." She made them rare at home, but she didn't trust other people to know what rare actually meant.
"I'll have to remember that. At least now I know what I'm hoping to see under the tree on Christmas morn..." He managed to say in a serious tone.
"Me wrapped in bow then?" she said with a mostly serious look on her face. OK, she wasn't as good at it as he was, apparently. "Have to be after Christmas with the cousin, but I think something like that can be arranged."
"I think I'd be pullin' a Tiny Tim then, love. Screamin' 'God Bless Us, One n' All' to the bloody heavens." Oh geez. Someone get the hose.
She laughed. "And wouldn't that be a picture to behold?" she asked him as their waiter came over. She put in her order and looked toward Jono as he put in his.
"It is. Its been burned into my mind since I thought of it." He laughed, looking into her eyes to show he meant it.
"Burning pictures into your mind before the deed is just half the fun," she told him playfully with a smirk. Wasn't she just feeling saucy tonight?
"Personally? I say we eat quickly... So we can get to work on the OTHER half." He said, dishing it right back.
"We *could* always just get stuff to go..." Like she cared what anyone here thought of her.
"Ahh..." He sighed happily. "Tis the season, indeed. Yes... Suddenly this is NOT the place I wish to be right now..."
She flagged the waiter down. "Yeah...we're going to need our food to go, dear," she said with an apologetic smile. She planned on tipping him well, anyway.
