She Got You the Hook Up
Who: Bella and Chris
Where: Avarice II
When: Oct. 7th, Evening
Bella sat in Avarice, waiting for Chris to show up. She had gotten in touch with him and let him know that she wanted to meet him to talk about his demo that he had given her. She had kept her voice neutral, to make sure that she didn't give away one way or another how the demo had went over. Of course, you can just deliver bad news over the phone, right?
Looking more like a bouncer than a budding rock star in tight black jeans, a skintight white wife beater top, and a red skullcap with a lock and chain around his neck, he tried to keep the nervousness from his features as he sat down at the bar, ordering a beer (which showed HOW nervous he was, as he RARELY drank).
Well, she didn't know that, but she could tell that he was nervous. "So, doing good since I last saw you?" Bella asked him, hiding a smirk that she had to do all she had in her to suppress. Making guys nervous was just too much fun.
"Yeah... not doing too bad at all." He said, grinning when he saw her. Hey, nervous or not, chick was smoking hot, ok? Of COURSE he grinned when he saw her. "Kinda hard to NOT be doing good when you're around..."
"Aren't you the flatterer?" Whether she liked it or not, she had that almost film noir era charm and sex appeal that her mother also had. She grinned at him. "You look like your doing good. How about I tell you something that will make you feel better?"
He laughed immediately then, knowing what she was likely leading to. "Holy shit... seriously?" He asked, standing in excitement.
She smirked and, after an extra second, nodded. "Both Bronte Bale and her fiance loved it, and her fiance works for Full Moon Records." She wasn't sure EXACTLY what Grant did for the company, but she knew that he did something or another.
"Hot DAMN!" He exclaimed, whooping it up for a moment before raising a mischievous eyebrow. "Warning: I feel a MASSIVE hug coming on. So... here's your chance to book it outta here."
"God, like I'd turn down a hug from a future rock star," she said, leaning over and giving him a hug herself. "Nor would I turn down a celebratory drink," she added with a wink.
Holy shit did she smell wonderful. That was the first thing he thought. Second thing? Ok, it was picturing her naked. HE WAS A GUY, OK? "As many as you like, babe. Seriously. I owe you SO big time here..."
She laughed. "Well, right now I'll settle for a coke," she said to him. She didn't want to get her 'aunt' in trouble by selling alcohol to a minor, after all. "Maybe we'll settle the score with a dinner later."
"Right now, I'd give you a drink, a dinner, or anything you WANT." He said with a still-amazed laugh. This seemed so... too-good-to-be-true, really. "So... are they interested in talking to me? Seeing if this could go anywhere?"
"Yeah they're interested," she pointed out to him. "I think you should call up there and make an appointment, because I don't really know either of their schedules or anything like that, but they definitely want to talk to you."
"God... I could freakin' KISS you right now, girl. This is the most amazing thing anyone's ever done for me..." And truthfully, it was the first time since he fled Russia that he felt... somehow HAPPY inside.
If she had known that, she may have blushed. Of course, she actually knew very little about him. She got the sort of 'ping' off of him that alerted her that he wasn't completely human, but she once dated a vampire very seriously. She wasn't going to hold anything against anyone anymore until they gave her a reason to do so. "Who knows, I may not smack you for doing so," she said to him playfully.
He raised a brow in surprise, not exactly expecting THAT reaction... before deciding to throw caution to the wind, grabbing her and just planting a big, passionate, almost movie-quality kiss right on her.
Well, wasn't he lucky that she happened to like him? She did manage to kiss him back, and the two of them probably made QUITE the scene in the bar for a few moments.
After a few moments, he finally realized that wow... they were being just a TAD inappropriate here huh? He finally broke the kiss, a little surprised that she had gotten as into it as he had. "....wow..."
Well, he IS hot, so why not? "I knew I still had it," she said with a slight smirk at him. Certainly made her feel better about herself that she kind of killed his ability to speak.
"Damn, I don't see how you could have ever LOST it, girl..." He said with a low wolf-whistle. Pun intended. "How many guys get to kiss a gorgeous girl before he even gets to ASK her on a first date?"
"Not sure how many, but only very lucky ones get to," Bella pointed out to him. "So, you want to take that chance and actually ask me out on that date?" She apparently wanted that date, it seemed.
"I think I'd be a damned idiot NOT to..." He replied, laughing under his breath. "So... want to go out with me sometime? And by sometime, I have no shame. Any damn time you WANT is fine with me."
Her smirk broke into a full faced grin. "I would love to go out with you sometime," she said to him. "I'll have to check my obviously busy schedule to see what date, but I'm sure we can work something out."
"Yeah... so..." Yes, he was totally doing this. "How busy is tonight? Just.. you know... wondering."
She laughed. "Tonight's not busy, since I cleared out my schedule to come and see you." OK, so her schedule isn't so busy, but she liked to tease.
"Care to go for a walk around the city? Talk, get to know each other, see where it leads?" And get your minds out of the gutter... HE meant it as in 'see if we get along well'.
That's how she took it as well, not the gutter way. "I think that sounds great, actually," she said to him. She would certainly like a decent tour of the city, anyway.
He offered her his hand, all smiles at this point. Seriously... if he'd EVER had a better day than this? He couldn't remember it. To quote Spongebob... this was the BEST DAY EVER! "Shall we?"
She took his hand. "Definitely," she said, letting him pull her up and off the bar stool. She was definitely looking forward to this.
