Committing To Each Other Who: Brenna and Draven Where: Avarice II When: Sunday Night - August 29
Waiting only two days, as he'd promised, Draven had called Brenna's number and left her a message, asking her to meet him at Avarice II that evening, so they could spend some time getting to know one another. Draven felt afraid to let himself grow truly attached to anyone, considering he and Project 27's on-the-run status, but he couldn't seem to resist Brenna's presence. The girl was simply gorgeous, and just... had some kind of hold on him.
So he waited for her to (hopefully) arrive, standing by the bar in black jeans, a black, long-sleeved silk shirt, and black boots, his long hair tied back in a ponytail.
Draven hadn't need to wait too long before he'd catch Brenna walking into through the entrance of Avarice II wearing a short graydress and a pair of black ankle boots. As the petite blond started to weave her way through the throng of people toward the bar her eyes connected with the man's and a soft smile curved her lips.
Since this time, he wasn't rooted in any one spot as a watchdog, he quickly made his way to her, taking her hands in his own, and giving her a quick, sweet kiss on the lips. "Thank you for meeting me, Brenna... You look lovely, by the way."
"I'm glad you approve." She smiled softly to the man with her eyes catching his once more. "And you look quite the handsome gentleman this evening, Mister Leroux." The blond complimented in return. Though from the first time she had met the man, Brenna found him to be quite handsome and charming.
"Why thank you, m'dear..." He chuckled, leaning in to whisper in her ear. "I have to have a moment of honesty here... turning you away that last time? Was the hardest thing I've ever done. Including escaping that government facility."
The way his breathe caressed her ear when he whispered sent shivers through the girl, and the words he spoke, which were audible only to her, had Brenna smiling shyly. "I hope that was the one and only time you'll ever do that." Brenna murmured back softly as she reached for Draven's hand.
"Trust me when I say..." He grinned, hands laying lightly on her hips now. "should that opportunity arise again tonight... I don't plan on letting it slip away a second time, my beauty." He gave her a little squeeze, smiling with that charming little glint to his eyes. "For now... dance with me?"
"At the moment there's nothing I'd rather do." The blond smiled up at him ever so gently. Brenna didn't think there was anything she could deny Draven of. He was the most charismatic man she had ever might and had been completely captivated by the charming man almost from the first time they had met.
"I just wish I knew why 27 was so adverse to me coming to meet you tonight. She seems to not want me near you, which I don't get. She's only met you once." He sighed, leading her to the floor, not really GETTING that the young girl in his care essentially had a massive, devastating schoolgirl crush on him.
With her hand in his Brenna followed Draven out onto the dance floor. "I think she's just as protective of you as you are of her. Maybe she just fears something will happen to you." Brenna shrugged lightly when the pair made it to the dance floor. "Not that I would ever intentionally do anything to hurt you."
"Trust me... I have no fear of you trying to hurt me. In any way." Draven clarified, setting a hand at her hips while his other hand took hers, holding her in perfect position to dance with him. "In fact... I think that knowing you... might be exactly what I need."
Brenna smiled listening to him with her head resting against his chest as Draven led her in a dance on the dance floor. It seemed natural to Brenna to be held within the strong arms of Draven Leroux as he moved them to the slow beat of the music that now filled the club.
"Brenna... I know nothing about you..." he chuckled, shaking his head at the absurdity of it all, "Yet I can't get you out of my mind. No matter what I do, where I go... I can't stop thinking about you. About that last time we met..."
The teen's smile brightened slightly as she tilted her head upward to glance up at him. "I think we both have the same problem. I can't seem to stop thoughts of you from slipping into my head. Haven't been able to since the first time I met you."
"You bring something good, something happy, into my life, Brenna. I'm not looking for pity saying this, but... my life has been nothing but pain, hardship, and torture. Aside from the pride I have at saving 27 from the same life... you're the first good thing that's ever happened to me." His eyes locked onto hers, the hand on her hip giving her a gentle squeeze.
"Everyone deserves a little bit of happiness." Brenna told him as his eyes connected with her own. "Even if it might be for a brief moment in time. You deserve some of that happiness." Cutting her gaze away from his, Brenna let her head lay gentle once more at his shoulder as she moved in a little bit closer with her arms fitting loosely around him.
"I try so hard to be a gentleman around you... but you make it extremely rough." He admitted with a nervous laugh. "I can't seem to help but have terribly improper thoughts whenever I'm around you..." His nerves weren't even an act. While he'd used charm and sexual advances to get his way with women before, that had always been things he'd done either for personal gain or just... for pure physical want. He'd never felt a real CONNECTION with another person like this.
"I would never want you to be anything other then yourself around me, Draven." The blond admitted not daring to look up at him. She didn't think his gentlemanly and charming ways were all an act. She was refusing to allow herself to believe that. "Promise me you will never bury what feelings you might have for me. That you will always be truthful as you have in the past."
"I'm ALWAYS truthful..." he chimed in, raising a brow. "And my feelings for you... range from being intrigued, to feeling a true attraction... all the way to pure animal lust."
"I hadn't meant... " Brenna sighed feeling what she had tried to say hadn't come out that way. She knew he had always been honest with her and hadn't meant to imply anything other then that.
"Now now..." He soothed her, smiling. "I won't have you frowning... am I going to have to do something to get that frown away?"
Brenna gave a nervous half laugh to that. "No more frowning on my part tonight." The teen promise when she glanced up at him with a soft smile brightening her sad face.
"Hrm. Shame... part of me was hoping to have to make that frown disappear..." He teased, both hands now resting firmly on her thin, shapely hips.
"Now, can't have you being disappointed." Brenna said purposely frowning as her arms lifted to drape lightly around the man's broad shoulders. He really didn't need a reason or excuse to kiss her, but if frowning again would entice him into doing that Brenna would play along.
This time, he pounced on the chance, crushing her lips with his own, an air of true desperation around the kiss, as if he'd been thinking of nothing BUT this. One hand rose up, fingers tangling tightly in her long hair.
The blonde whimpered into the forceful kiss. One she hadn't expected to be so lustful and powerful. And as her arms curled more snugly around his neck, Brenna found herself molding into the masculine form of the man as the kiss he took was slowly returned.
"I can't keep telling myself I can wait, Brenna. If you're going to keep being around me... I can't keep telling myself I don't want you. Because dear LORD, you have no idea how badly I do." He admitted, brushing the tip of his nose against hers.
"Then stop telling yourself we need to wait." She whispered back before kissing him softly. "Because there is no way I can stay away from you now." Brenna knew that even if she tried she wouldn't be able to keep any kind of distance between herself and Draven. She was too drawn in now for that. In fact the blond was falling in love with the man even if she found she couldn't voice that at the moment.
"I... made sure my place is empty tonight..." Ok, so had he placed 27 in the care of one of his few allies tonight, JUST in case this opportunity arose? Maybe. Shuddup. "Shall we?"
"Just know I won't be able to spend the entire night with you." Brenna informed him. She didn't want him to wake up sometime after their lovemaking to find her gone without a word. She had to return home sometime that night otherwise Grant and Bronte would probably have the whole of the Vegas police department out looking for her. Wasn't exactly like she had told either she might be gone the entire night.
"Just promise me..." He started with a smile, "That soon... you'll let me have you for a weekend. Say that and I won't give you a hard time about ANYTHING." Oh dear.. now what did he have on that devious mind of his there?
Brenna looked at him a long moment as if considering his proposition. Giving him most of one night was one thing, but agreeing to spend a whole weekend with him in the near future. Was that maybe moving a bit to quickly. "I don't want to make any promises I might not be able to keep." She told him honestly. It was like she was living on her own. Brenna, technically, had parents who might not be exactly agreeable to her going away with a man she had known only a short time for a full weekend.
"I suppose that will do... for now." He laughed, locking his fingers with hers in a little squeeze, and smiling. "Shall we go back to my place, dear?"
"I think we should." Brenna smiled softly leaving her hand in his as Draven started leading her off the dance floor.
