Giving In Who: Gypsie and Cliff Where: The Cemetery When: Thursday Night - September 2
Gypsie wandered the cemetery aimlessly and bored. Nary a head had yet poked up and out of the ground that stretched out beneath her feet. It was still early yet, and anyway the Slayer preferred patrolling places like the cemetery as they were, for the most part, quiet and still. She didn't have to worry about some idiot getting in her way during a chase of a vampire or two.
Speaking of idiots... Cliff was currently sitting atop one of the cemetery's many mausoleums, dressed in his traditional hoodie and jeans combo. He wasn't one to go out of his way to hunt vampires, however. He was waiting for Gypsie, "I was wondering how long it would take for you to get here." He'd only been waiting for an hour, luckily. Joey had told him it could be much longer than that.
What the fuck? The slayer had a stake out before catching sight of Cliff sitting a top of one of the mausoleum. "What the hell are you doing here?" The girl hissed at the guy. There was no hi or how ya doin. Nope Gypsie just went straight to the point of trying to find out why he was in the cemetery. Last thing she needed now was a distraction while patrolling the burial grounds.
"Well, it's nice to see you too," he snarled at her, before hopping down soundlessly onto the ground (which was amazing given that it was a ten foot drop, easily). "I figure we could take a nice moonlit stroll, get to know each other..." he added in a sarcastic droll. Of course, that's what he HOPED to do, but... best not to let HER know that, hm?
"Go away." Gypsie grumbled at the boy as she moved to stalk past him and continue her rounds of the cemetery. Hopefully a task she could do alone.
"No," he snapped back, actually grinning challengingly at her. "I don't think I will. I quite like it here," he added, catching up to walk by her side.
"Then get your kicks in another section of the cemetery." She snapped back increasing her pace a beat in an attempt to put some distance between herself and cliff.
"That's not why I like it here," he told her, keeping up with her pace easily enough given that he had longer legs. So he might have had a death wish right not, but now that he knew what buttons to press, he wasn't going to be rid of that easily.
"Then go find somebody else to harass. I'm not in the mood." The Slayer shoved the stake back into the pocket of her hoodie as she continued on with the hope that Cliff would take her hint and go away.
"When are you EVER in the mood?" He replied harshly, still following after her. "You have to realise that it's not going to be that easy to get rid of me."
"Why." Gypsie stopped suddenly to turn fully and looked over at Cliff. "Why are you doing this?" The girl demanded. Why was he even bothering with her. Not like they got along well in any way, shape or form.
"Well, it's not exactly like people are clamouring for your attention..." Which, he realised, probably wasn't the best way to put it. "Look, I like you, okay? Even when you're being a massive bitch to me, which, let's face it. Is all the fucking time."
"Maybe I like not having people clamouring for my attention." Gypsie threw back at him. "No you don't. I'm a massive bitch, remember. Guys don't like bitches." That was the last thing Gypsie was wanting to hear from the boy. That he liked her. That he was probably wanting to get to know her. It was a complication she didn't want. Most of all it would force her to reconcile her feelings for Cliff she was trying so desperately to keep pushed down so she wouldn't have to deal with them.
"Well in case you haven't noticed, I'm not your typical guy," he replied with a grumble. Why did she have to be so difficult? He really didn't think that he was asking for much here.
No he wasn't, and Gypsie had thought, after what she said to him in anger when last they crossed paths, that Cliff would want nothing more to do with her. But here he was saying he liked her in spite of the bitch she could be at times.
"You're not going to give it up, are you?" Gyspie sighed. It seemed the more she tried running from him the more persistent Cliff became in his pursuit.
"No, I'm not. Call me thick-headed or a freak or whatever you want at this point, because I'm not going anywhere. You try to push people away because you're afraid, but you don't have to be afraid for me. Or of me," he added, wondering if he really WAS an idiot for putting his feelings out in the open like this.
"I'm not afraid or scared of you." Gypsie stated. Maybe, deep down, she knew she'd be afraid for him if she let him in. But being scared of him? That had never been a thought.
"Even after the whole 'GRR' thing?" He asked, making cat claws and curling his lips slightly so she'd get the idea.
"In case you've forgotten I'm quite proficient in killing those types of things." The slayer reminded the guy. If she wasn't afraid to go up against the typical vampire, Gyspie definitely wasn't afraid of Cliff. To her he wasn't exactly your normal, everyday bloodsucker.
"Oh good," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "You... don't plan to kill me, do you? I mean, not that I wouldn't blame you for having those thoughts, but we have to be clear here. Staking Cliffie leaves a nice wet body. Seriously. It'd be gross."
"You've done nothing that warrants me killing you." Being an irritating asshole sometimes wasn't enough cause for Gypsie to want to literally kill the guy.
"Give it time. I'm sure you'll change your mind," he replied with a cocky smirk. He knew he could be... abrasive, just as he knew that he wasn't about to give up without a fight here.
"Why do you have to be such a smart ass." Gypsie grumbled. The teen the starting walking once more to try and part herself, yet again, from the guy. Just when things were being civil between them he had to go and say something to ruin it.
"What does a guy have to DO?" He muttered to himself, his lips curling in an irritated snarl. He grumbled and stalked after her again, grabbing her by the arm he spun her around to face him and before she had a chance to react, kissed her hungrily.
Gypsie hadn't seen that coming and was completely stunned when Cliff followed to grab her roughly and pull her into a kiss. Her eyes were wide when his mouth pressed to hers. When she started to regain control of her senses the teen struggled against him to break away, but before she realized it Gypsie was kissing him back just as fervently.
God, was it tempting to say something snarky then. Luckily that part of Cliff's brain wasn't working right now. He groaned and clutched her tightly to him, unwilling to let her go easily as he kissed her harshly.
Gypsie moaned against his mouth as Cliff held her tightly to him. Her arms curled around his neck as every emotion she was feeling dissolved into their kiss. Anger, passion, lust. It all wrapped together to be felt within that one kiss.
Of course, even Dhampir's needed to breathe, which was why Cliff reluctantly broke the kiss with an animal-like grumble and a look in his eyes not unlike a lion that had spotted a gazelle. A look of pure hunger.
"You have to stop doing that." Gypsie breathed heavily with the reluctant break of the kiss. The teen caught the boy's gaze and saw the look radiating in his eyes. And then without thought, not realizing what she was doing, Gypsie hands slipped with his dark hair as she moved in to kiss the Dhampir once more. She was no longer willing to fight the forces of attraction that drew her to the boy.
