“Competitions sound exciting, though,” Sally pointed out, raising an eyebrow. Of course there was always the chance of losing, which Morag said she’d done, but she was familiar with her friend’s skills and knew she would be tough to beat. “How often are you competing? And where is your parents’ show again? I might have to go see it sometime.”
Sally gave a hum of confirmation as she took another sip. She did do some editing, sometimes, when the letters to the advice column were light, but that wasn’t too often. It was easier not to tell people she was the one writing that particular column for many reasons, not the least of which that her contract with the magazine stated she was forbidden from doing so. “I still edit, yes. Never quite know what’s going to come across my desk on a given day, so it keeps things interesting.”
