"You're inquisitions are always welcome," Blaise took a drink of the water that arrived at the table after the waiter had introduced themselves to fill in the void between their arrival and their order coming out.
"Exciting is an overstatement," he shrugged placing the glass down. "Mother has found herself another new man. I've been placed in charge of the Christmas Gobstones collection for this year. They want two new stones to be added to the roster for official play."
It was sad if you really thought about it. Blaise's mother had moved to France during the war and chosen not to return. Therefore, he was alone in the manor a majority of the time. He knew he needed to find a smaller place, but didn't want the Manor to become a ghost hovel. Other than his work, he really didn't venture out much these days. When he did it was usually a quick hook up if any. He knew where he wanted his life to go, he just didn't know how to get it there.
"That's all there is to tell. So, what about you, how is life outside the apothecary treating you?" As he finished his question their food arrived and he leaned back to allow it settle on the table before him.
