Daniel would be lying if he said he didn't hope that Rory would avoid him this time around. After all, it wasn't like he was directly prodding like he was before. In fact, he was as discreet as he could be. But then did he look at her with too much of a knowing look? Or was Rory still reminded of the fact that he questioned her much too many times in the past? He honestly didn't know.
And so, as Daniel watched the blonde leave with nothing but a mere kiss and her usual adieu of 'See you later, Danny boy', he only found himself torn between surprise and a certain feeling he couldn't explain. It was almost as if he wanted to run after her, stopping her. But then thinking about it, he wasn't sure he really had no words for her. But for some reason, he didn't want her to leave just like that. Again. Much like she did at the ball. It almost seemed to have become customary, but somehow it unnerved Daniel. He sighed as he shook his head as though to clear his confusion, as he started for Gryffindor towers, swearing to himself that the next time he sees Rory, he will not let her leave just like that again.
