Everything had been so utterly confusing at the ball. Julian hadn't known what was going on but was thankful that his instincts had kicked in when they had. Instead of panicking, he had attempted to assist in herding students out of the hall in a calm fashion. Naturally that hadn't worked at all, but at least he could say that he'd tried. He had barely paid attention to the Minister's spiel, instead wondering if all of his friends were okay. Luckily for him, he'd managed to locate Aidan and a few others, though Benjy remained elusive until Flitwick had told the seventh year Ravenclaw boys that their room mate would be spending the evening in the Hospital Wing.
Ever the considerate friends, Julian had decided that morning to offer Benjy some entertainment. He didn't know how long the other boy would have to stay in the Wing, so he took the chance to gather some of his belongings before heading down to see him. Thankfully his room mate's bedside was empty when he arrived, though Julian was sure that Benjy had already been visited by a lot of well-wishers.
Setting a pile of magazines on the bedside table, Julian promptly plonked himself down in the chair beside Benjy's bed and offered him a grin. "Your copy of Quidditch Weekly came this morning," he informed his room mate, "Thought you might want it and some other stuff to keep you occupied." Chancing a quick look over his friend's body, Julian suppressed a frown before continuing, "How long are you under house arrest anyway?"
