Teddy was still stunned by how quickly things could turn. The ball had been an exciting event, something for people to look forward to. Seeing as it was so close of Halloween, the mood within the castle was a pleasant one. Yet in the matter of a few moments, things had taken a turn for the worse and it still left Teddy somewhat baffled. Three out of the four people grievously injured during the stampede were friends of his, people whom he cared about deeply. Therefore it was safe to say that his concentration the day after the ball was completely shot.
Much like Hestia, Teddy had spent the majority of the night camped outside of the wing. He had only taken a break in order to go back to his dorm and change, and then only after Madam Pomfrey had reassured him for the umpteenth time that his friends, Elizabeth in particular, were doing okay. He had relied on Adam and Beth for food, not wasting time by lingering in the Great Hall before he was back. A few moments after Hestia was allowed entrance, Teddy took his opportunity as well and, even though he knew how dangerous it was, Elizabeth was his first stop. Not spending nearly as much time with her as he would have liked on account of the public setting, he had made his way around the Wing to see his other friends. The last stop before he left being Benjy.
"Up and at 'em, mate," he said, though there was no cheerfulness in his voice. Hoping that the Ravenclaw wouldn't mind, Teddy plonked himself in the chair beside his bed and took a moment to survey him. "How are you?" he then asked, his usually positive demeanour somewhat put-out.
