Adina squeaked her eyes widening. Great, it was the health food nut…she’d been able to avoid this till now. She rolled her eyes. She just wanted to enjoy her lunch, not be pushed in the direction of the nearest leafy, not dyed green thing.
“My name’s not girl,” she protested as she pretended to consider her selection. She paused, turned her head back up to give him an innocent look and told him, “Looks like food to me. And I’m like so allowed to splurge every now and then.”
She was not going to say that this type of splurge was a near daily thing.
