Penny had rolled her ankle or something when she fell the two stories off the wall. It was throbbing, but that didn't stop her from backing up, running, and lunging to get to Jake... Until they teleported while she was in midair. Her arms waved wildly, and she landed again in the middle of the grid, right on the bum ankle. "MOTHERFUCKINGBITCHCOCK," Penny shouted, pain jarring up her entire left leg. She grit her teeth after that, pulling it out to look. Her ankle was starting to swell, she could see that easily now without her uniform on, and it was tender to the touch- from two inches out. She tried to put sensitive pressure on it and hissed, immediately taking it off the ground again.
And then Penny's thoughts instantly went from her ankle to her stomach, panic starting to seep over her in cold, shivering waves. If she was hurt so obviously in her ankle, where else could she have been hurt that she was not even aware of? Her adrenaline was still high, she knew she'd be feeling all sorts of sore and bruised tomorrow- where else would that sore feeling be? Penny's hands flew to her stomach, gripping at the skin tightly as her eyes widened. She had to see a doctor. She had to see a doctor now. Her vision blurred as she looked around, unable to take in and note the presence of everyone else back in their civilian clothes, all the Alpha robots running around in a panic, even where she was. What was happening with the morphing grid was too out of the way to comprehend, too far from the immediate danger which made her skin clammy and sweat roll down her back.
She had to go, she had to see a doctor.
Penny pushed herself shakily to her feet, not noticing if anyone was even around to have heard her initial scream, not caring if anyone was trying to help her. She was deaf to anyone's pleadings as she tried to hobble across the floor, her mind on one thing: getting to a doctor who wouldn't instantly put her into retirement. There was a car, there had to be a car somewhere, didn't she have a car once that she inherited from her father? Her thoughts were all jumbled up as she tried her best to race to the door, and then a wave of nausea hit her and she veered towards a trash bin, emptying the contents of her lunch quite violently into it.
