But that was the whole point- she didn't need anyone to take care of her because she was utterly capable of taking care of herself. So why should she need to burden others? She raised an eyebrow at him. "Not everyone," she countered. "You usually don't. Lindsey most certainly doesn't let me." She smiled wryly at the thought. She didn't know why, but a lot of guys seemed to have problems with letting themselves be taken care of. It didn't occur to her that one of the things that annoyed her the most about others was something she herself did.
She shifted in her seat a little, unsure of what to say next. She didn't usually talk to anyone outside of her family or team for such long periods of time, or even let them in her apartment for that matter. "So what have you been up to lately?" It was all she could really think of to ask.
