It wasn't something Kamal usually talked about, but Quinn was having a hard time and he figured he would make an exception for his friend.
"I had kind of the opposite problem from yours. It was never too hard to use my ability; it was too easy. I set my goddamn sheets on fire first year. Woke up at three in the morning when the sprinkler system went off. To this day, I don't have a clue how I managed that one."
He paused as Quinn struggled to get the door open, then added with a little smile "And now that you know, you'd better keep that information to yourself. If word got out, I'd never hear the end of it."
Finally they had arrived back at the apartment, and Quinn looked as though he at least had the energy to get to his bedroom instead of crashing on the floor. That was Kamal's cue to exit. "Nah, I'm good. Thanks, though. Go get some sleep."
