Quinn almost stopped to glare at Kamal when he mentioned complaining. Was he complaining? Kamal wasn’t following the normal routine. It was worth complaining about. If he said he was fine then he was supposed to be left alone. And bed, who needed a bed? He hadn’t made it to his bed the last time.
“She was hit with a blast from behind when she started attacking the creature that’d been released,” Quinn elaborated, “Ethan got her to safety. She’ll be fine, but I’m sure she’ll appreciated visitors.”
