"The best, Hank? Seriously?" Nathan laughed. "I don't know about that."
Ah, yes. The controlled chaos of a night out with fellow Rangers. Some things never changed. Nathan responded to several things almost simultaneously, slipping easily back into the group. He clapped Matt on the shoulder, took him up on the offer of a mojito - not his usual drink, but why not? - and then intercepted a rather terrified-looking Ansel with an apologetic look toward Penny.
"You'll have to forgive me," he said in his most charming tone, clearly an effort to placate the vivacious blonde. "I haven't seen Ansel here in ages. Would you mind giving us a minute to catch up before you drag him to the dance floor?"
He glanced over toward Leon, frowning slightly in disapproval as he rambled drunkenly. He didn't think it was his place to cut the kid off, but he certainly hoped someone would. There wasn't a heck of a lot he could do about alcohol poisoning.
