Jake snorted a bit, shaking his head at Lindsey's reaction. "I was expecting a different reaction, but this is ok too." He raised an eyebrow as Lindsey joined him on his booth side. Jake scooted in and turned so hia back was against the booth, but he could still look at Lindsey. "Thanks Lindsey. It's not a big thing, but people don't expect it. And I like to keep folks guessing about me." He treated Lindsey to a wink just before their food arrived. "Ah, good! Ok, we have Gyoza, which is just dumplings. A selection of sushi, including just the vegtarian kind. And Vegetable Tempura with a side of cooked beef. You have to try everything at least once." Jake had ordered the normal size portions, because they were fairly large. Lindsey might not eat a lot, Jake guessed...But Jake ate a lot.
Lindsey leaned over the food curiously, sniffing it to get a feel for how it might taste. "Looks good enough," he said, reaching for a dumpling. "You sure this ain't gonna be gross?" he teased, snorting before picking it apart into two pieces. He put one half into his mouth and chewed at it, nodding as the taste came out. "S'good," he muttered, pleasantly surprised by it. Lindsey loved to eat, and if everything was as good as this, he was going to compete with Jake in who could eat the most.
The green ranger couldn't help but laugh at Lindsey. It was rather endering to watch him try the food. Almost like a kid in his actions, but Jake found it very cute. He watched Lindsey for a moemnt before seting to eat. "Try it with the beans they put on that platter. Creates an interesting taste." He started in on the tempura, pouring some soy sauce onto the smaller individual plate he had been given. He chuckled softly and drank some tea. "Lindsey, do you work out? I never see you when I'm doing my workouts, but you're in great shape."
Lindsey started laughing despite himself, amused by the question and comment. "I work out, kinda... I like to do it by myself when I do it. But for the most part, man... I don't bother... not a lot. I mean... I'm kinda naturally like this. All gangly and junk. I wouldn't call myself fit though." He liked that Jake thought he looked like he was in shape, though he wasn't disillusioned about himself either. He was a little on the skinny side.
