“Guess you take what you can get, if you don’t have a specific title in mind,” Quinn commented as he took the one Norton book they had off the shelf and turned it over. He gave Abbie a shrug and told her, “Most people are either into Star Trek or aren’t. I grew up on it so, am therefore into it. I really liked The Time Machine, except for the kid’s version. It was freaky. Funny how sometimes things can altered for kids and all they wind up doing is making is scarier than it was in the first place.”
Kids got underestimated, Quinn concluded, which was probably why Jake was so good with them. Jake probably didn’t underestimate them. Quinn tilted his head, “How about Christopher Golden?”
