Of course, whenever Padma came to talk to Parvati, it seemed they could bring out the best in each other. Padma wasn't thinking quite as clearly as she could have and having someone else to bounce things off was helping. "I'm fine on my own-- I want to get married eventually but on my own time, not our parents."
She listened, wincing as her sister argued with their parents, glancing up as Parvati stormed back into the room. For the first time since the evening started, a laugh bubbled up from her lips as she shook her head. "I shouldn't be living at home anymore. I should've found a place for myself a while ago. It's just never been right." Well, now it wouldn't be so grand to go home tonight anyways and gratefully accepted the offer to stay there at least for the time being. "I don't want to impose too long. Just enough time to find a new place and finally move away from home."
