With her jaw set, Padma found a seat on the nearest thing-- an ivory couch-- flopping down into the cushions in a very un-ladylike fashion. It didn't matter since it was just Parvati. Had anyone else been down, the elder twin would have been wary and loathe to drop the guard she kept around herself. However around Parvati it fell away without much effort. After all, she was her sister, her twin, and there were no secrets between them. She ran a hand through her hair, pushing back a section behind her ear before she went off into it.
"Remember Jitendra Agni? Mum's always been close with his mum since they're part of the same society club or something like that. Well, instead of it being some quiet dinner tonight with just Mum and Daddy and me, I was ambushed." That had been quite unpleasant. "It didn't go quite as well as Mum wanted and Daddy was cross but I was angry and so I sort of...left right in the middle of it." That also was most unpleasant, especially since this was behaviour that Padma didn't generally have.
"The point is, I'm tired of it." She leaned herself back into the couch, arms crossed over her chest, a frown very evident on her features and a pout to her lips.
