"You flatter me. I won't pretend to be the top prosecutor," he said, with a shrug. He expected that this case would be handed over to someone with a bit more experience, but who knows? He may be lucky this time. This was the sort of cases that made reputations.
"If it is indeed a little trick," Theodore commented. "No one has recovered from this, have they?" he asked, looking at a small chip on the ear of the ceramic coffee mug before him.
A small smile reached the edge of Theodore's lips at Hermione's last comment. "I was not the consequential, influential Draco Malfoy. But I would hope that by this point I--and they as well--would be all good and grown up. But going by what you said right now...that doesn't sound like it's the case." He had half a mind to comment on some of her old mates from Gryffindor, but stopped since he was of the impression that she may just get insulted.
