For some reason Hermione was glad to see him take the book; she hadn't thought a former Slytherin could be so tolerant and decent to talk to, especially being who she was. It was nice to get something better from a person than what you expected.
She paused at the question, and looked at him. "It's been known to happen from time to time," Hermione replied. "I wouldn't have tagged you as someone who would go further into the subject, but I also wouldn't have tagged as someone who knew anything about muggle poetry." Whatever his reasoning was for having any interest at all in her problems, she didn't particularly care. Hermione didn't feel it necessary to dump her problems on him, but a simple explanation was harmless enough. "I got into a row with a very close friend of mine."
