"A full war?" Aidan asked, frowning. He had hoped things hadn't gotten quite that bad but if Hermione thought so, then it was definitely within the realm of possibility. He made a small unhappy noise, suddenly not feeling brave anymore. In fact, the Ravenclaw had the almost irrepressible urge to hide. And perhaps whimper. Instead he settled for a long, heart-felt sigh.
Curiously enough, though, Hermione's brisk way of asking about concrete problems helped him focus and Aidan forced his mind onto the matter at hand. "We thought about contacting a few people but first we need to make sure that it's safe to contact them." Here he thought of the Patils with a pang of regret but the Malfoy connection was a risk. Something that, if things came down to it, could even endanger lives. Aidan sighed again, this time regretfully. He really liked the Patils.
"We're also scouting for a location where we can meet and set up a headquarter of sorts. Preferably in a Muggle area. The thing will be made safe – I'm sort of counting on your help there though Terry doubtlessly knows some good Charms, too – and then we'll take a look at what we have at our disposal. What kind of people and the skills and connections they bring." Aidan rubbed the back of his neck, suddenly tired. He wasn't supposed to do stuff like this. He didn't feel like a leader-type of person. They needed Hermione. "Then we can start hunting for information and plan our next moves." And hope they would survive the experience.
