Astoria couldn't help but be a little intrigued by George's words, and sat forward a little on the couch. A little jolt? Surely that wouldn't hurt anyone too much. Wait. What was she thinking?! She wasn't going to do anything like that to her parents or Zach, although it was very tempting.
"Those things aren't very discreet," she said, pointing to the brightly-colored puffskein. "They'd know right away it was my doing. Plus... if they're really as annoying as you say, I have a feeling it wouldn't be alive for long."
"Why are you really here?" Astoria finally blurted out. "And don't feed me the line again about how you know I wouldn't go to your store so you had to come here. Surely you don't care that much whether or not I'm a client of yours."
