Parvati's shove had Draco's hand slipping, and the horse turned his head toward him to give him an annoyed look. "Sorry," he muttered brusquely to the animal, stepping away from the half-cleaned horse to dump the brush back into the basket with the other grooming supplies. This was clearly not a conversation to have while dealing with the horses. He would send a hand in to finish the job.
"The holidays ended a month and a half ago, Parvati," he answered calmly, as he brushed past her to retrieve his coat. "But consider me surprised."
