Terry had been trying to work up the nerve to go and talk to Mandy for the past ten minutes. He really wanted to know if she liked the plant he'd sent her. Thanks to her journal entry, he knew she'd at least received it. Had the note been a little too much, though? Michael had helped him write it.
Not wanting to creep her out in any way, Terry decided that keeping the conversation neutral would be best for now. Pushing back his chair, he stood up and, hands in pockets, slowly meandered over to Mandy. She didn't seem to notice him at all, so he cleared his throat first so as not to startle her too much.
"Uh, hey, Mandy. What are you working on there?" he nodded toward her books.
