Who: Hermione Granger and Viktor Krum Where: The White Knight Restaurant When: November 4, 2005 What: A reunion that Viktor has been looking forward to for some time.
It was a very nice restaurant, Viktor figured as he had shown up several minutes early, as it was just plain courtesy. He waited at a neatly set table, with a neatly wrapped, rectangular package on the table in Hermione's spot. A small token, a leatherbound book of magical poetry with beautiful illustrations of various creatures, herbs and flowers.
He had to admit that he was a bit more nervous than he thought he'd be--he would rank his nervousness as rather close to what he feels the morning of the Quidditch World Cup. But, like the World Cup, it was an exciting sort of sensation. He couldn't wait to see Hermione, as he had dedicated much of his time to quidditch. Now that his dreams had been fulfilled, he knew that he had to focus on other dreams he had. Over the years he had been fairly unsuccessful at these dreams as most of the women he had met were mostly interested in his stardom. And none of them were as brilliant and beautiful as the woman he met during the Triwizard Tournament.
He kept a close eye to the door, not being impatient, but more rather fairly attentive to what was going on. He rehearsed some of the thoughts that he wished to express in his head a few times as he waited, wondering whether it would be the right time to speak of these things. Ever since he had retired, he had felt as if much of his life had slipped by so quickly and felt much more of a need to play catch-up.
